Cora Amis is a lifelong dog enthusiast and seasoned professional dog trainer with a reputation built on over two decades of dedication to the working-line German Shepherd. Since 2005, she has been producing high-quality, purpose-driven dogs with a focus on genetics, structure, temperament, and drive. Her name is well respected in the working dog world for her integrity, depth of knowledge, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Cora is the founder of Aoife Haus Police K9, a registered government entity specializing in Police and Military K9 vending, training, seminars, and professional conferences. This division works exclusively with law enforcement and government agencies, offering pre-trained, environmentally socialized working dogs ready for deployment. All dogs are raised in family home settings, ensuring stability and real-world functionality before placement.

Civilian training services are provided through Cora’s Canine Solutions (www.CorasCanineSolutions.org), which offers customized programs for dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. Areas of expertise include:

Cora’s training philosophy is relationship-based, emphasizing trust, communication, and reliable performance. Every dog is trained with intention, compassion, and consistency.

Her breeding program under Aoife Haus German Shepherds is intentionally small, producing only 1–3 litters per year. Each litter is thoughtfully planned to maintain integrity in structure, genetics, and drive. Puppies intended for public placement undergo puppy kindergarten, crate training, and environmental development before going to approved homes.

Due to strict biosecurity and liability protocols, no training or client visits occur on-site. All training is conducted off-site, and all dogs are delivered or met in public venues. This protects both the dogs and clients while complying with insurance and health safety standards.

Cora’s husband, John Amis, is an active Police Officer with a K9 Specialty, bringing real-world tactical experience into the program. Introduced to the world of working dogs by Cora, John quickly developed a deep passion and has become a skilled handler and respected K9 trainer. His field experience enhances both the training and placement process, particularly for police and protection prospects. Together, they form a powerhouse team, combining professional law enforcement expertise with elite-level canine training and breeding.
