Cora Amis is a lifelong dog enthusiast and professional dog trainer who has been breeding high-quality working-line German Shepherds since 2005. Her deep knowledge of genetics, structure, and temperament has made her a respected name in the working dog community. Cora’s passion for the breed is matched by her dedication to ethical breeding practices and developing well-rounded, highly capable dogs for both working and family environments.

As a dedicated mother and full-time professional trainer, Cora is highly selective and intentional about her breeding program. She produces only one to three carefully planned litters per year, ensuring each puppy receives the attention, early development, and evaluation they deserve. Due to the limited number of litters and high demand, waiting lists fill up quickly, so it’s recommended to reserve your spot well in advance.

In addition to breeding, Cora is the owner of Cora’s Canine Solutions (www.CorasCanineSolutions.org), where she offers customized training programs for dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. With decades of hands-on experience, she specializes in obedience, behavior modification, personal protection, and AKC programs. Cora also has a profound passion for Search and Rescue (SAR), with a special focus on Human Remains Detection (HRD). Her dedication to this field reflects her deep commitment to using canine skills in meaningful, life-saving work. Her training philosophy is relationship-based, emphasizing trust, clear communication, and real-world reliability.

Her husband, John Amis, is a dedicated K9 Officer and Handler. He was introduced to the world of working dogs through Cora and quickly developed a deep admiration for the breed. Inspired by her passion and knowledge, John immersed himself in K9 work and has since become a skilled handler and respected trainer in his own right. Together, they’ve combined their talents to pursue their shared passion for breeding, training, and working with exceptional dogs.
