Puppy Health Guarantee and Contract

Deposit and Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total purchase price is required to hold a puppy. Deposits may be transferred to another litter at the discretion of the Breeder. The remaining balance is due in full at the time of pickup or prior to shipment. Payment may be made via cash, card, or approved electronic payment. Puppies will not be released without full payment.
Buyer understands and agrees that failure to complete the purchase will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Breeder retains the right to refuse or terminate a sale at any time. In such case, the deposit will be returned in full.
Health Guarantee
The Breeder guarantees this puppy to be in good health, current on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, and free from any life-threatening congenital conditions to the best of their knowledge at the time of transfer.
Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. If a licensed veterinarian finds the puppy to be in poor health and provides written documentation, Buyer may return the puppy at Buyer’s expense for a replacement of equal value. Failure to complete this examination voids all guarantees.
Hip and Elbow Dysplasia Guarantee
Should the dog develop crippling hip or elbow dysplasia before:
26 months of age for Limited AKC registration, or
5 years of age for Full AKC registration,
and such condition is confirmed by a licensed veterinarian and reviewed by a board-certified veterinary radiologist of the Breeder’s choice, the Breeder agrees to replace the dog with one of equal value. Buyer may retain the original dog, and no monetary refund will be issued.
This guarantee is void if:
The dog is bred without Breeder’s written approval.
The dog has been abused, neglected, over-exercised, or improperly cared for.
Euthanasia is performed prior to notification and evaluation by the Breeder.
Ownership cannot be verified through microchip or DNA provided by the Breeder.
Breeding Clause
All puppies are sold under Limited AKC Registration unless otherwise agreed in writing. Breeding without written authorization from Aoife Haus German Shepherds voids all guarantees and results in a $5,000 penalty.
If sold with Full AKC Registration, Buyer understands there is no guarantee of breeding or show quality, and the Breeder retains no rights or obligations to offspring.
Return/Rehoming Agreement
If Buyer can no longer keep the dog, they agree to return the dog to Aoife Haus German Shepherds without expectation of a refund. Buyer may not surrender the dog to a shelter, rescue, or third party without written consent. Failure to return the dog will result in legal action.
Neglect or Abuse Clause
Aoife Haus German Shepherds reserves the right to reclaim any dog if there is reasonable belief of neglect or abuse. Buyer agrees to voluntarily surrender the dog and all documentation or face immediate legal consequences, including court costs, attorney’s fees, transportation, and recovery costs.
Kennel Name and Microchip Compliance
All dogs produced and sold by Aoife Haus German Shepherds must carry the kennel name “V. Aoife Haus.” Failure to maintain this naming requirement voids this contract.
Buyer agrees to keep microchip contact information up to date for the life of the dog. If the dog is lost or stolen and information is not current, the Breeder holds no responsibility.
Satisfaction Guarantee and Non-Disparagement Clause
If Buyer is dissatisfied at the time of transfer, Breeder agrees to work in good faith to resolve any issues. Buyer must allow the Breeder 30 days to address concerns before making any public claims, posts, or statements, including online, print, or third-party forums. Violation will result in voiding this contract and a $2,000 penalty.

Legal Jurisdiction and Enforcement
This contract is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. All legal disputes will be handled exclusively in Jennings County, Indiana. This contract is legally binding and enforceable in a court of law.
